      Help! Sky Fibre and new 3rd party router

      Hi

      Can someone help me setup a new router as im at a loss with it now. I currently have a sky hub sr101 and a huewai mode. i have purchased a linksys ea6900 which i was told would work out the box. It dont! Im stuck! please help!

      Ask whoever told you it would work out of the box on Sky fibre would be a good place to start.

      Failing that, if there is a connection type MER (if not try IPoE) have a look and see if there is a box labelled Option 61. If there is that is where you need to enter your username/password you extracted from the SR101. I think the few manufacturers (Billion definitely do) that support Sky fibre out of the box usually use the format "username|password".

      If there isn't any Option 61 support then unfortunately it's not going to work.
