At the time of writing there isn't much else available, so watch this space I guess is a good place to start.

And the super expensive cost! 30 for an "80/20" VDSL2(FTTC) connection that can be had for about 20 from the main competitors...

I still think that Sky and its customers would benefit greatly from just having one fibre product - Pro for 20.

The link also fails with an error for me. Must only be accessible to Fibre Pro customers. Maybe dedicated better quality support will justify the price differential?!?

Re: New Sky Fibre Pro section on Sky Forum

On the phone to Sky CS last week, I was informed that static IPs will be available soon (only to fibre pro customers) at no extra cost.

I agree with Speedyrite though, I think Sky need to lower their prices a little.

As a newbie I know they give good prices to new customers, it is like car insurance etc. first year a good price then up it goes for second year.

@dnpark38 It's not so much that (as there is nearly always an introductory discount to attract new customers), rather that the standard pricing for Pro is too high compared to the equivalent offerings from likes of PlusNet, TalkTalk, BT Infinity etc who mostly do "80/20" for about 20-ish (which is what Sky charge for "40/10").

.......or maybe they want to hide the problems being experienced by their top paying customers so that those on a lower scale will not be discouraged from upgrading.

It seems to be a strange thing to do.

Broadband subscriptions are becoming more like insurance and savings accounts and should be treated in the same way. Ditch and Switch when the offers have expired or at the earliest possible date thereafter.

Customer loyalty should reward the customer not the provider but that sentiment has got lost in the large conglomerates race for ever greater profits.
