      Re: Install Day

I got a call from the Openreach engineer ahead of the visit. He explained that he'd work on the cab first, then come to the house. However, reading on this and other forums, you don't always get a call especially if it's a contractor.

I take it you know where you want everything to be installed? Kettle on and biscuits ready?

      Re: Install Day

A terrible set of statistics! I bet you're waiting for "Fibre Unlimited Pro Plus" to take advantage of such a short line.

I didn't realise it showed the max rate too. I should have had a look when my fibre was installed. Whilst I'm maxed at the 40/10 the online checkers only show 36/6.

      Re: Install Day

Im actually slightly disapointed with the attenuation as im around 90m from the pcp
i asked the engineer if the line into the pcp was aluminum and he said no its copper

The margins and such are fine but was hoping for more of around 6db attenuation

Its only dropped 6db off my adsl 2+ attenuation of 17.5

Let's hope no-one from rural-UK is reading this as I'm sure they would kill for your adsl speeds, let alone your fibre one!

      Re: Install Day

Oh latency has dropped between 1.2 and 1.4 ms from fastpath adsl 2+ to fastpath vdsl2
it may be down to routing though
