      Re: Blocked Wifi

Your WiFi issue is more likely to be related to the building materials in the wall than the Ambulance dispatch centre.

Could you download and install inSSIDer please? Run this and see what the local pattern of WiFi signals is like. Do this in the same room as your router and then on the other room.

As for the free Sky Hub - sorry thing is the wrong place to ask. We're not the official Sky site.

Ive used insider there is a bt home hub on ch 1 with bt fon etc.

Also a linkshare device not sure if it's linksys or not on ch 3

I can see them in every room.

      Re: Blocked Wifi

Whilst we normally advise that you use a non-overlapping channel, have you tried channel #1?

It is unusual for a BT HomeHub to select channel 1. They normally default to 6 or 7.

One weakness of inSSIDer is that it only shows the channels being used by the routers. It doesn't show the traffic and it doesn't show what other devices are using the same frequency. Some telephone use the 2.4GHz frequency and so do several other devices. Microwave Ovens and TVs have been known to interfere with WiFi too.

Also when changing channels, try to stick to non-overlapping channels. 1, 6, 11 and 13 are the best to choose from. Whilst half of 13 will overlap with 11, the other half is in the clear.
