I got full speed 1st day, and just passed 106 days today and still full speed. About 37Mbps down about 8Mbps up consistently, I'm about 250 to 300 metres from the cabinet too.

Allegedly the "half-speed" problem only affects a couple of dozen people (officially), but I guess there may be a few more (people who haven't noticed or are not bothered about it). I wouldn't worry about it for now.

BTO guy's JDSU showed capability of 66Mbps down.

Loving my 40 meg fibre optic been brilliant since I had it on trial, I don't bother doing speed tests that much just ask my son what connection/hostings/pings like on Xbox Live. He's only 12 but knows more than me lol

I think the half speed issue affects more than a few and mainly those with 176. IP addresses. My router came back up with a 176. address after a powercut complete with half speed so I turned it off for about 40 mins and it came back with a 94. IP address and full speed again.

I don't disagree with you. I did say "Allegedly the "half-speed" problem only affects a couple of dozen people (officially), but I guess there may be a few more (people who haven't noticed or are not bothered about it)." I thought the jury was out on the 176.x.x.x IP address range though? Some say they've *NOT* had problems with that range.
