re: Sky Admits fault with Sky and BT network resulting in slow connects @ 1/2 speed
I got my sky fibre installed on Friday and seem to be encountering this problem. According to my sky router I am sync at 39992 kbps but when I check my speed on speedtest.net I get around 24Mbps and seems to have stabilised around that mark as on Friday it was fluctuating between 5Mbps - 24Mbps. I am unsure if I should wait for the 10days DLM or should I report this ASAP?

re: Sky Admits fault with Sky and BT network resulting in slow connects @ 1/2 speed
Starting from Sunday evening I have been getting reduced throughout speeds at peak time that are all over the place, the same problem I had on Sky unlimited. Now its appeared on Fibre unlimited, I had fibre installed last Monday (1 week ago) and its been fine up until now.
This is what I get when downloading from that mirror website

How ever the BT checker Beta gives me this

Seems like Sky has a problem at their end.
Sky Fibre "Unlimited" at peak time.
Sky Fibre Unlimited (I was estimated around 30mbps but only sync @ 24mbps).
ECI B-FOCuS V-2FUb/I Rev.B Openreach FTTC modem
Getting reduced throughput at peak times (4pm-11pm). Sky Suck for broadband.

re: Sky Admits fault with Sky and BT network resulting in slow connects @ 1/2 speed
Well it seems that my powerline plugs are the cause of me losing out on 10Mb. I basically plugged my laptop directly into my router and got 37Mb on speedtest.net but I am unsure why I am losing 10Mb as the plug that my computer is connected to syncs at 450Mb to the plug that is connected to the router.

re: Sky Admits fault with Sky and BT network resulting in slow connects @ 1/2 speed
In my case I am connected directly to the router via Ethernet, the router syncs at 24mbps.
I have found that when I use multi threaded downloads via downloadthemall download manager in firefox I get the full throughput, what could this mean?

this topic is only for people who are syncing at full speed, router reports you connecting at full speed but when you do a speed test u onl get 1/2.
If you having problems with you sync speed create a new topic otherwuise your problem will get overlooked as you will be 1 post in a 1000
