I was wondering if I could use this delay in any way to Sky so they do not charge me the activition fee (£50) and so at least save me some money while I await patiently. Any one got any angles on this on and I would very grateful.

      Thanks in advance.

when you order juse pick standard install not managed install

Managed install is where they change faceplate connect router and ond device ie pc

standard install bt come to swap faceplate over and connect router and test line but they leave you to connect the modem and any devices

best to enquire over phone just press upgrades and then ask about fibre product

I think you meant to say that the standard installation includes the connection of the BTO Modem, not the router

In all cases though, the BTO Engineer will move the Master socket, if required, and provide a length of cable to connect the Modem to the socket.
