SBUF consistent speeds

Hi all,

Since having SBUF installed I have been slightly obsessed with speedtest.net and checking my down speed, i signed up to it so that it records and saves all my speedtests.

Since the 17th Feb i have done 79 speed tests over both wifi and wired on 2 different machines.

Below are the lowest and highest speed tests.

I am very happy with it so far and have not had any problems, what are you views/speedtests been like for others that are connected.

How come your latency is so bad

Since I sorted out my wiring and router port problems my speeds have been pretty consistent however if i only used speedtest.net I would be worried. The results on that site vary hugely. I find that the bbc iplayer diagnostics site is the best and next down the bbmax site.

yeah, I'm kinda hoping my latency is sub 20ms when I get it installed. The pings in the OP aren't much lower than what I have now on normal broadband (32ms).

Speedtest is a fairly synthetic test. I prefer testing against usenet or something, at least then I have a "real world" representation of my speed...

Speed has been solid since install.

I wonder if it's just pot luck because some ppl have much higher pings on fibre
