I've been waiting that long for fibre now, another 2 week's I can live with. I wonder what the turn around is for people going to bt infinity. Somebody said they orderded infinity yesterday because the speeds aren't high enough for sky fibre and got a 30th of April install date, 3 days after my SBUF install.

I had two wait two weeks for instillation and that was on trial, I had awful speed on broadband unlimited so it does make the wait seem longer

Re: i wonder...
2 weeks is an average lead time from BTO, if you look at others who order FTTC from various ISPs. The other thing is they have to get the FTTC router to you

Re: i wonder...
I think it's about on the money.
When ADSL was in it's infancy, lead times were about 10-14 days.
I'm sure as the initial upsurge in demand tapers off and ordering systems become more streamlined, we'll probably see lead times cut.

Re: i wonder...
The current lead time for any fibre install is currently 10 days subject to local demand

Two weeks is fine. I've heard quotes of up to 10 weeks though - that I wouldn't stomach too easily. I once ordered a brand new car that was delivered quicker (8 weeks, but admittedly it was going to be built that week)
