Resetting your PRAM and SMC can improve your Macs performance

      How to reset your PRAM

      How to reset your SMC

Mac users should also every now and again leave their Macs on overnight to run maintenance scripts* or use something like OnyX (These scripts improve the macs performance but only run overnight)
