Re: BT Update FTTC exchange list

It looks like BTO are going to be busy enjoying the beach weather this summer with the number of exchanges going live in September around this way.

There are still a significant number of exchanges to be given a date for a possible upgrade, but this is will happen in due course.

As for the link for anyone who feels like downloading the latest spreadsheets or PDF files: Openreach - Superfast fibre broadband - Where and when

There is also a Google map with the ability to find out in a pictorial form about the status of your exchange on the same page.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

Re: BT Update FTTC exchange list

I think BTO are in a mess to be honest, we currently have BTO engineers working in Suffolk from Southend and London so who is working in those areas? For those of us who are desperate for a fibre product only use the dates that BTO give as a guide as they often lead to dissapointment.

Re: BT Update FTTC exchange list

Didn't BTO announce that they were going to make a big push to reach the stated target for 2015 before then? I guess that they are offering overtime and expenses to engineers across the country to help roll out Fibre.

With the current climate, would you blame any BTO Engineers for taking it up?

A live exchange is one thing, a live cabinet is another! My exchange has been live since last year but the cabinet outside my front garden has been there just as long but it's as dead as a dodo, to make things worse its live date has just gone from end of March to the end of June So close...but now so far!!!!

Interesting on the South Harrow one, as this was one of the areas being trialled for FTTP (by Sky anyway)
