You will have a few choices, but using an old Sky D-Link router to connect via WiFi to the new Sky router is unfortunately not one of them.

Take a look at the document in this thread, it will what is required to configure the D-Link to work with the new sky router. Treat the D-Link as the 2nd router.

As for connecting the two together, you have a couple of choices:

      • use a long Ethernet cable
      • use a pair of HomePlugs

If you use the Ethernet option, you could actually move you new router near to the TV instead. Cat 5e Ethernet cable currently works out at around 50p per metre. Try to avoid anything that is seriously cheaper as it tends to not be up to the correct Cat 5e standard.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB

Before I changed my setup I got a pair of Homeplugs and they were brilliant. One with a cable plugged into the router and the other with a cable into the back of the Sky box. Worked straight away, no fuss.
