I can confirm 100% definite that 19.99 is for the duration
Ahh, you must be in what Plusnet term a 'low cost area'. That is very cheap for a virtually unlimited 80Mb connection, much cheaper than Sky. Hope all goes well with you.

I'm an ex plus net customer as well, again from several years ago, I wouldn't go back if they were paying me. I wish you all the best.

Good old quidco, great when it tracks, bloody annoying when it doesn't!... Ive just joined sky (initially ordered end of August) paying 32.25/ month for fibre unlimited and line rental with free eveing and weekend calls - 75 quidco making it 26/month (Finger's crossed sky cough up the cashback!)

There was also a 25 M&S voucher mentioned when I signed up to sky though not heard anything about that since, must chase them up!

Plusnet Fibre is also unlimited now.

As I have mentioned before I am seriously considering Plusnet when my Sky contract expires, trouble is, I can't move the Fibre until September!

Putting aside the quality of service discussions for a moment (and let's face it, no ISP is perfect), the Plusnet offering is attractive assuming performance is on a par with Sky.

Ignoring any discounts or line saver deals my Sky Fibre is currently 20 per month (up to 40MB), + 14.50 line rental + Anytime calls for 5.

With Plusnet I'm looking at 19.99 per month (up to 76MB) + 13.99 line rental + Anytime calls for 4 + caller display 99p (free with Sky).

So 39.50 per month currently versus 38.97 with the potential for up to twice the speed and that's before you throw in 6 months half price, up to 75 back through Quidco and the chance to use your own router and actually make use of the extra speed.

Knowing my luck they will have stopped all the deals and put the prices up by the time I can change contract...

Re: Bye bye Sky just bought fibre for 26 per month :-)

Admittedly Sky's refusal to offer download speeds in excess of 40GB for under 30 is a thorn in their side at the moment.

A lot of members on here have complained about the drops in download speeds and this does not help.

The good news is that more firms are finally offering Unlimited bandwidth connections. However BTW products are capped during peek times. This can affect what you see when you are actually wanting to use your connection.

From what I have learnt recently, namely about Sky Fibre now being available in exchanges without Sky's LLU kit and how it is connected up, there is a lot more complexity behind how Sky Fibre actually works than I had expected.

I'm not sure that I have got the complete picture, but basically if FTTC is available, then it is possible for you to order Sky Fibre now.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
