      Connected Today So DLM

I hope that 4 - 9 meg is not true as I have connected today I am a bit worried as when I was with Orange my result from last night was:

Just did a screen shot of my routers stats:

all my SNR Margin (Upstrea), (Downstream), Line Attenuation (Upstream), (Downstream)

are much higher that Orange I was on BT's WBC with Orange.

I see speed test below provider unknown

With your attenuation you should get pretty near 14 Mb. Your connection on Orange was working with very low noise margins, which Sky will not allow. You would have to force these on your own router if you want a similar speed. Your existing noise margins will reduce as the speed increases and .5db difference in the downstream attenuation is nothing to worry about. Remember to keep the router plugged in and powered up during the training period.

      Hi Isitme,
I am not using router supplied as it looks like a child built it, so hope that does'nt make a difference.

It depends a lot on its chipset, if it is matched to the Sky exchange equipment you will get a good result, if it is not you may sync lower than you would with the Sky router. It may pay you to plug in the Sky router, take the stats and compare them to your own router. Some are not happy with the routers Sky supply and use their own, but millions are quite satisfied.

You will be fine if you are on the Sky ISAM. Have you had a look att this thread from Exdee?
What non-Sky router will give me the best speed.

Hmm 24 hours since I was connected and so far everything has stayed the same the noise margins are no different I just hope it does something soon then I will know DLM is definately active, checked with a sky person and he said it was in progress, I'm about until early Wednesday morning and if it's the same when I return I will get them to do DLM again as 4095/605 aint right but will give them benefit of the doubt.

Typically takes up to 72 hours to start the optimisation. It'll just be collating data for the time being.
