Well they cannot give you the service on Connect so I would imagine your best bet is to get your MAC and leave with 30 days notice. Others have done just that due to the speeds etc.

Re: Why is broadband in the UK so bad?

They've clearly over sold the connect package to the point where customers aren't even getting dial-up speeds during peak times. Why pay for broadband if you're not going to have it during the most likely time you'd use it?

Hi thats it exactly great TV good Sky Broadband But the Connect Bt re-badged max Package is over traffic shaped to the extent of being Throttled I would still get someone to have a look at your wiring it will improve your connections and speed.

      1. Becuase the government dont care about anything besides there pay and how they can rip us off.

      2. We wont moan and force change, its the british way.

      3. look at things like tv shows and movies, they come out everywere else first and the UK last.

      Rant over.

I like my max at a solid 12mb, but it would be nice to have 50-100 like most other major countries.

You are deluded if you think most other countries have 50-100mb connections, very few places have this and it is certainly only in pockets of the population, not countrywide.

Re: Why is broadband in the UK so bad?

Some parts of our country are able to achieve 50-100mb just so few to be worth mentioning.

Now with Virgins fibre roll out this will increase but again in terms of popultaion it is not really worth a carrot.
