Re: Mid users, who's leaving because of the new limit
TBH I very much doubt that Sky will enforce the new limit for existing Mid customers anyway. I think they'd realise that anyone still within the 12 month contract term could virtually rip-up their contract due to the fact the download limit reduction of this size will give the customer a get out clause.
The contract reads "However, if we reduce the level of service provided by your chosen product and you reasonably consider that you have been disadvantaged by this you may move to another product or end your contract."

The leaflet does quite clearly state:
Because we have made this change to your service, you may cancel your broadband without charge as long as you do so before this date. [1st August]
Thereafter, (IANAL) I think you would be deemed to have accepted the changes made, and could not cancel after this period without penalty.

Re: Mid users, who's leaving because of the new limit
Well due to Sky's incompedence after several reminders from me, they are still not charging me for my broadband! but the day they do or try to enforce the 10gb limit on me then yes I'm off to O2.
