Sky Broadband, Is It Good?

Hi everyone

Im with O2 8mb and i think Access.

Everything was gravy until my connection speed dropped and dropped until at one point 0.1Mb DL

But now it has gone up to about 4 during the day and about 2 after 5pm

Aparently O2 are having trouble with peak time congestion or something that i read on their forums

I used to get about 6.5 DL speed until a few months ago

Now i am seriously thinking of joining sky broadband as it is only 5 pounds a month for 10mb

I did the thing where you type your phone number and it said i could get up to 4mb, when O2 it says i can get up to 7mb

Is that very accurate?

And does sky broadband get rubbish speeds after 5pm (when everyone goes online)

Hi Dale can you get Sky LLU in your exchange if so yes a move to Sky is ok but if your exchange does not have Sky LLU you would be put on connect which is a Bt rebranded product and same as O2 Throttled 5pm till midnight Sky call it Traffic Managed hope your exchange has Sky LLU
