I probably would have taken it had I not recently gone for a 12 month Unlimited evening and weekend contract with BT.
Since I only have one mix and the broadband I'm obviously not counted as a loyal customer.
O2 and freesat are starting to look attractive.
Exactly the same as me, Left sky talk as soon as they blocked using 1280 and hicked up the prices of 0845/0870 calls.

Also been looking at O2 for £7.50pm as we already have a sim package with them (£10pm)

And just recieved a call from BT offering me broadband for £10 a month.

Re: price increase

I was going to change to O2 too as, although hubby pays £45+ for Sky tv mines going up100%, but hubby & family are saying that O2 will put theirs up to and soon, plus I've read one, (theres only one), on the Review site who's saying that the first month thats refundable is really good, then deterioates shockingly. Thats the kind of thing that puts you off migrating.

Anyone else heard bad reports about O2???

Re: price increase

Sky's timing just stinks! In previous recessions, expenditure on "at home" entertainment did not fall as much as other household expenditure. As we go in to the depths of our worst recession for years, is this a cynical attempt by Sky to milk every last penny from customers?
Sky's price increases are unjustified and unacceptable. The pricing strategy can only be part of a plan to capture even more market share from BT and restrict choice for the consumer.
I've cancelled Sky Talk and ordered my MAC.

Re: price increase

I got that letter yesterday but also had one last year, end of November/start of December I think so I knew it was going to happen. I am not going to be bullied into taking Sky Talk especially as I am tied to BT.
