      is it this easy?

Signed up for sky Monday 13th, received activation date 22nd (tomorrow) broadband pack not arrived as yet... haha writing this and the parcelforce delivery has arrived... so keeping my fingers crossed the switchover goes without hitch
Switching from Nildram (pipex) as since Pipex took over Nildram; had nothing but Packet loss on the Pipex network and DL speeds dropped to 2meg...Then asked for mac code and can you guess what has happened PL is still there but reduced and my DL has gone back up to over 7meg...

I am hoping that the line stats bear up, I live 0.5 kl away from exchange and all figures suggest the line can take 24meg so 16 should be a doddle...

So will let you know if it goes smooth or rough...

Be warned! Maybe I am jumping ahead a little but packet loss is often caused by high line errors which in turn is often caused by poor internal wiring. So if you do suffer problems with Sky then dont blame them straight away. Detailed router stats can show up most problems and they are usually fixable with a little effort. Maybe you have already been down this route I dont know.

Anyway hope the switch goe's well.

Nah all the PL was coming from Pipex network hop three and four, only came when Pipex took over nidram, when it was nildram network no problems at all... and tbh would not be moving isp, if it was still nildram...

I have been with nildram for a very long time...dial up then isdn then BB and always been very good... until pipex

Hope mine doesn't fall down at the last hurdle... Everything with Sky (TV & net) gone swimmingly so far, but today is activation day (22/08/07) and still an unactive line at 4:38pm
