I had a feeling it wouldn't work. Your best bet is to go to official talk talk forum. Make a thread there and ask them what SNR your profile is set to. The moderators will be able to tell you this there. Ask them to put you on the 6db profile.
Meanwhile you might want to go back to the original netgear firmware. It improved your attenuation.

Re: What speed can I expect with these stats?
Well from the ADSL2+ speed calculators that are based on line attenuation, I should (on paper) get 4 to 6 mbps, so i think i'll sort out my internal wiring first.
Will still be switching to sky, as is cheaper, and unlimited (as apposed to the 40GB limit i suddenly discovered we have after being unlimited for years)

Requested MAC from TalkTalk this morning. Will (supposedly) receive it by email within the 2 to 5 days.

Re: What speed can I expect with these stats?
Just switched over about 20 mins ago.
Sync currently at 2875 (was 2499 before switching). So that's a half meg increase already.

Re: What speed can I expect with these stats?
What is your noise margin like? If it is below 7db, it may drop. The line will initially sync at its best speed up to 4Mb, but it may not stay there. Let's hope it does

Re: What speed can I expect with these stats?
Did you sort out your master socket?
The two routers have different chipsets. The DG834v2 has a TI AR7 chipset while the Sagecom 2304n has a broadcom chipset. If I was you I would plug in both and see which one gives me better stats.

Re: What speed can I expect with these stats?
Will be looking at the master socket once I can gain access to it. Load of stuff in front of it at the moment, and it will require quite a bit of work to get it out the way.
The new router (the Sagemcom) is connected with MER, which the Netgear doesn't support. Would this be a problem? I'm also cautious of disconnecting at the moment, in case DLM thinks it was a line instabilty and drops the speed.

Re: What speed can I expect with these stats?
You can use PPPOA to connect your netgear router. Following settings also required along with the user\pass you retrieve from your sagem.
VPI/VCI: 0/38
Multiplexing: VC
DLM may not have started yet but you can leave it alone for now. It would be better to compare the routers at the master socket.
