Dunstable exchange down.
Hiya peeps,
Lost internet connection completely yellow adsl light. Easynet says Luton, Hemel, Leagrave and Dunstable have problems because of a fibre break.
Ok my mates son rang panicing because he cant get on his Xbox! and wants me to go round and have a look coz his Dads away on business, they are on the same exchange but with orange, are the problems likely to be related?

They probably are, it looks like the fibre connection from the exchange to the internet is down.*
*I think it is called the 'backhaul'.

Cheers for the reply! His rung me about 3 times tonight, poor little mite is lost cos he cant get his xbox on line, he cant understand why his mate down the road on Virgin is up and running, tried to explain to him about differen't providers and dug myself a bigger hole! he's only 12
I dunno kids of today anyone would think the world had come to an end lol, oh yeah it has! the Xbox cyber world 
Must be fairly major its been down since lunchtime with no further update on easynet at the moment.

well given that Virgin has been having problems since yesterday his mate isn't having all his own way.
What is going on at the moment there seems to be a lot of problems this week.I'm a PC, and Windows 7 Backup saved my sanity when BitDefender imploded !!!

Well someone round here's broadband is working, I haven't a clue who it is but they are not very good at setting up there wireless security !

Does anyone have any idea how much longer this is going on for,as this is interferring with my home phone also.I phoned sky yesterday at 4pm.I was told 4 to 5 hour`s.
Luckily i have my son`s usb stick...LoL

We are having connectivity problems to the the Dunstable, Hemel Hempstead, Leagrave and Luton exchanges.
This will affect customers with usernames @smdb, @smhh, @smlea and @smlt
Our engineers are investigating.

Due to fibre break being underground it's taking a while to locate and fixed this issue

I think this is diacraseful that they have let it be down for so long. They told me that it should be fixed by the 15th
