Sky Max in Market Weighton??

New to the forum as I am to Sky Broadband. I used to live in a City which had Telewest - Virgin which gave me 15 to 20 meg download speeds. I have moved to the sticks where I am told that the best I can achieve is Sky connect at £17.

Sky Max would have been my choice but alas the sales person said it is not possible.

After a little reading my question is if Market Weighton
Samknows Broadband - Market Weighton (MYMAR) Exchange
is max ready how will I know when and if it will be upgraded

Obviously I would rather pay ca half of what I pay now for double ??? the performance, when taking into consideration the TV and phone package I think that it's a bit of a cheek telling me that I could have sky max and then lumping me with connect at a considerable increase for less product.

I have been connected to sky for about 5 hours - will it get better????

A good indicator in the past was if Sky offered you Connect at £5 per month. This was normally an indication that the exchange was due to be upgraded to LLU within 6 months or so. Unfortunately Sky / Easynet keep the date of unbundling to themselves and a sales person at Sky would never know the anticipated launch date.

Connection Speed 8128 kbps 448 kbps

Shows your router is at 8mb which is the max that Connect would offer. Our speedtest maybe a little mean in the speed there, unless you are on wireless?

On Connect, there is a ten day training period, and so I would expect to see variations.

It looks unlikely that your exchange will be enabled anytime soon, it's a small exchange with no LLU presence. It's unfortunate because you would probably sync at the full 16Mb on the max package with your current stats.
