i've contacted sky many times about anytime+ for thomson users and kept getting different answers. So Saturday i sent a e-mail to CS just to ask when my letter will be sent out for the free replacement box. 20 min later a had a phone call off sky CS saying i could have a free box now or a 1TB box for.........£49 not £149 i quickly got my card out and paid for self install.
Thank you sky, i'm now a happy customer.

Result!
So after a very unsatisfying and unclear phone call with sky CS I e-mailed as per dubstyle
in the mean time I had an e-mail sent to me asking for feedbak about my recent call to customer support. So although I said the person was polite (they were!) everything else I reposnded to negatively
Today I received a response to my e-mail...

Thank you for your email regarding anytime plus. I’m sorry this issue has caused you concern and hope my reply below clarifies the position for you.
I have arranged an engineer to come to your home and replace your current Thompson HD box to an anytime plus compatible box. There will be no charge for the box or the engineer visit.
We have information that you live in an detached house, made out of brick with no parking restrictions. The engineer is booked for Saturday the 7th of May between 08:00 and 13:00. Please advise if this is a suitable date and the information we have is correct.
Your job reference number is: XXXXXXXX
I look forward to receiving this information at your earliest convenience. In the meantime, if you need any further help, you can reply to my email. As an alternative, you can contact our Customer Service team on 08442 41 41 41, where one of our advisors will be happy to help.

New box is in and anytime+ seems to have been pre-activated for me as it is there up and running already. Just had to enable the broadband in the box settings and job done

I find it interesting that all the sky customers who have a thomson (one of the first) are last to be sorted out, I updated my box with a new power supply and 1tb drive (last nov) to find out that now the chances are that it will get skiped.This is more likely because of the small number of thomson hd boxes against the cost of the software.
