      Many thanks for the advice. I contacted the Anytime+ support team today, and whilst they tried very hard to help, even they could not cure the problem. Everything is in place and working. The service connection and the LAN connection are there (most of the time), the cable has been tested, the router is working fine, we are using the internet with no problem. The Anytime+ is on my account, and we have disconnected and reconnected all the cables, re-booted both the router and the STB, and broadband connection is "on", the Samsung STB is compatible and working. All they could offer was an engineer's visit at great expense with no guarantee of fixing the problem.

      The helpline seemed as mystified as me. I would appreciate any other suggestions as to how to fix the problem!

      Is the Anytime+ service still playing up?

      Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
