I think most new telly's these days are equipped with some sort of 2D to 3D feature. Seems to work quite well on the HD channels.

im my opinion 3d is a fad, a waste of time and money in buying a 3d tv, i could go and buy a 3d tv today if i wanted but i wont, the 50inch 1080p plasma i bought a few months ago is all i need, there was a 3d tv on sale for 50 quid more when i bought my plasma which they tried to sell me, i said no thanks 3d has no appeal to me.

      Re: MOre 3d channels

I picked up a LG 3D TV a couple of weeks ago. It came with 7 glasses and I payed less then it was for a Samsung of the same size 2D TV. After using Sky 3D for a couple of weeks I believe that there is no need for another Sky 3D channel as I find that a lot of the content is just repeated many times.

      Re: MOre 3d channels

It is considerably more expensive to produce 3D programmes than 2D HD content.

There is some promise of 3D content of the Olympic games and I would not be surprised if the BBC airs Wimbledon in 3D again this year for some of the games.

More films are now being re-released in 3D (Lion King and Titanic come to mind) where they were originally filmed in 2D only. I haven't seen these to know how good they are compared to films and TV programmes which were recorded in 3D. However it is fair to say that the big companies are spending a lot of money on promoting 3D and investing even more in order to make fresh movies in 3D.

Over time this will all add up to a lot more content being made available on a regular basis.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms
