Toshiba 42VL863B doesn't auto switch to 3d mode

      Hi,

Does any one else have a Toshiba 42VL863B 3D TV?

It is suppose to auto detect a 3d signal and switch on 3d mode but i am finding on the Sky 3D channel that I have to press the 3D button on thetoshiba remote to tell the TV its in 3D.

Just wondered if anyone else had this issue?

      Thanks

      griff

That could be the reason but I thought the PS3 was HDMI 1.3a anyway not 1.4. I suspect its down to the TV not reading the signal properly. I think there is a firmware update for the toshiba, when the broadband has been activated I'll attempt an update and see if that works.

      Thanks

      Griff

P.S. I've just read that the SKY HD boxes actually use HDMI 1.1 - so maybe that is why after all.

1.4 is the latest one which supports 3d better so its best you update the hdmi cable and if possible check your tv for a firmware update check there website see if theres a newer version update it if it needs to
