You must have some serious noise there.

Plug the router directly into the TEST socket How to test your ADSL in the Master Socket and post the stats from there, also try a new adsl filter and make sure that all working sockets have them in place still.

Re: Help with my router speed before i call sky

thanks for the reply...

so every single socket in the house MUST have the fiters in? weather it be for tv, phone, etc?

we have 3 socket in the house how do i know which is the test socket? the house is also a new build so i cant see anything being wrong with external lines etc.

Re: Help with my router speed before i call sky

Every phone socket in the house if it is used by anything MUST have an ADSL filter in it as the very FIRST thing plugged into it.

Your master may be the new external type but try to trace the main BT line coming in from outside, the first socket it connect to should be the master.

Take off the front and remove any wires into terminal 3, you don't need it and it can cause noise problems.

Re: Help with my router speed before i call sky

Yep that's better, will get more speed but I expect there is a problem somewhere. You may have a hidden socket behind a cupboard somewhere. Have you got your bellwire connected still?
