Is this best I can get?

Hi

I've now got the Sky Mid package (previously I was on Connect for 2 yrs) initially during the 10 day set up period I was getting around 4000kbps download speed without any problems but it is now seems to be fixed at 3072
kbps. When I was on Connect the speed varied all the time. We use a wireless set up in our house and we do occasionally loose connection however I want to get the best speed we can any ideas?

Here's my stats at 20:10hrs this evening:

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 3072 kbps 416 kbps
Line Attenuation 58.0 db 31.5 db
Noise Margin 12.2db 13.0 db

Thanks, this is my first post so be gentle!!

Re: Is this best I can get?

you're capped so there is more available...are you in your master socket?

you could - with a good line - be looking at 4Mbps or more...

Re: Is this best I can get?

To be honest, with a line attenuation of 58dB I'd leave well alone, however there is a bit of scope for more so you could ring sky and see if you can get through to Customer services who may lift your cap. You may get another half meg or so, or you connection may become unstable. It's up to you
