      Sky netgear routers are rubbish

been online a week, had more downtime than 4 years of being with BT,
i have to say netgear is the worst choice sky could ever have made for their boxes, cheap, nasty, shoddy,

thankfully discovered how to use my own router so everything's sorted,
the netgear ones sky give you simply do not work.

At work we have used Netgear routers for many years and they have proven to be extremely reliable and are on 24/7,it may just be linked to the Sky firmware that is on the router.

Re: Sky netgear routers are rubbish

The supplied Netgear router is about the best on the market in it's class.

It's possible your particular router was not up to scratch.

Good idea!!! I have 2 Sky routers one sent by Sky in error and they
both play up, continuous loss of wireless signal and disconnections etc done all the tweaks upnp etc, 2 months ok, then back to square one again for no apparent reason. Went and brought a cheap Dyomode 30 router, perfect no drop outs. Very weird!
