Re: New SkyBB Users Who ordered in Janurary Question..

My story of joining Sky broadband is dull compared to others on this forum but here goes.
      Signed up 23/1/07
      Ordered the mid package.
Told during the phone call that my exchange was Sky enabled and that the line would be activated on the 1st of Feb.
Router turned up Monday 29th. I was not in so I had to go and collect it from Citylink.
Line was activated yesterday morning, right on time.
Played around with the set-up last night, checked detailed stats. to find all was good. SNR fine, download & upload fine, Attn fine.
All fine. It just works. We at least so far.
Five quid a month? No complaints from me!

Ordered early evening on the 19th
      Router Arrived 22nd
      Line went live 25th

This was not a migration though. My previous isp got taken over then the new one went bust. A cease order had to be put on the lines to allow users to go elsewhere as we could'nt get mac codes. So mine was a fresh install of dsl on the line.

      HTH

      Cheers

Re: New SkyBB Users Who ordered in Janurary Question..

I don't have a note of the dates to be exact but wanted to say that the 'experiance' has been great so far. Router turned up early, line was activated early and everything went really well.

Need to call in about speed as the routers connected at 280 and expected more. Not sure if they've just got a bad press but was expecting problems with the transition and had none at all.

Ordered mid package on 23rd Jan, to be activated on 2nd Feb. Received the router after a couple of days, set it up straight away and just left it. Connected automatically on the evening of 1st Feb.

Hi, ordered on the 19/01/07 with mac code from orange. Was activated (I think) on the 31/01/07. Had a welcome to sky sms on the 01/02/07. No router as of yet, so i'm still conecting to orange at the moment....got a feeling this is all going to end in tears
