My current PC is 6+ years old... Pentium 3, 933MHz, 864MB RAM. Lasted me well but just ordered a new PC which will run the Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 (2 x 1.86GHz) with 1GB RAM.

      Re: CPU in your PC

I'm still running a Intel P4 2.4GHz with which I purchased a number of years ago. It does what I need it to do for now, runs Vista really nice once you turn of half the un-necessary services. I will however be upping the RAM from 1GB to 2GB, the processor can wait another year.

      Re: CPU in your PC

      Split down the middle......

The main chugger, no name (me): AMD 2400xp oc'd to 3000 (cat5e)
      Lappy, HP: AMD 64 (wireless)
      Daughter 1, Dell: P4 3200 (wireless)
      Daughter 2, HP: E6400 (wireless)

How do I vote on that?
