i agree with Hugsie it does prove we are independent from Sky, i get enough emails as it is from users thinking we are THE proper sky site, AOL are staying as long as they want to, this way we can implement changes for you the users faster and with quality software/scripts, there are a lot more changes/improvements to come, as they say rome wasn't built in a day

I quite like it I feared for the speed (being on dialup) when I heard about the changes, but it's great.

A lot of people have mentioned the advertising. Maybe something non-broadband would make more sense (not to mention money) as most people on here are locked into a 12 month Sky contract.

Just so people get an idea of the costs, we have spent well over 1500.00 to get this website where it is today. Without adverts, we would not have had the resources to do this.

I understand people's views on adverts, however we want this site to be free for everyone.

Also not everyone who visits this website can get Sky Broadband, however they may want wireless broadband and are currently paying more than 14.99 per month at the moment, in which case the adverts are attractive to those users.

One idea we could look at, is to switch the adverts off for a certain membership level, ie after 100 posts or something. However we have in place a contract which we cannot just change. We have a fine balancing act to achieve, what keeps the members happy and what keeps our advertisers happy.

On a personal view, adverts to me are the norm on any website, I cannot even log into MSN without having adverts rammed down my throat.

We all decided we wanted it on the right, its you lot moaning thats made me email him.

If we do it, you will have to select the left hand skin, as the default is on the right.

I prefer this design, however, the bar on the right is very annoying I must say It'd be better on the left! ^^'

It is possible, but would need to be done from scratch and totally recoded, which will cost a fair few dollar, same as this one cost basically.

Will look into it for after Christmas, as no-one wants to work now anyway
