    This is a discussion on News Groups? within the Polls forums, part of the Website news category; hi any 1 know if sky well ever be adding a news group for us? thanks for any help...

      News Groups?

      hi any 1 know if sky well ever be adding a news group for us?

      tbh I dont think they will, its a basic no thrills internet service, hence the email shambles.

      When Sky first announced broadband they said no email, then changed their minds, so nothings impossible though.

      We could add that question into one of our future surveys though.

      yeh am going to say no. because it will be a support nightmare and cost to much to implement for our no frills broadband. we do have some other interesting things in pipeline tho

      In fairness I chose the wrong words, its not basic, it just does not have extras at the moment.

      The broadband they are delivering is very good and excellent value for money, for a lot of people. When it is for all people will be unbeatable.

      yup like vod and your right it is a cheap service and can u imagine t1 support dealing with newsgroup issues

      Well if VOD is on the cards - imagine the possibilities, buy a movie on demand etc - complete masterstroke!

      If they could sort the email out, and then provide newsgroups for people, then tbh they have cornered the market, no where else for another ISP to run.
