Nearly two months down the line, paying expensive Connect, and no further forward than on day one.

While Sky have made contact several times to try improve the reliability of my connection, it remains frustratingly prone to lockouts forcing router power cycle, tho at least I have never really had the slow down issue others have.

What I find totally unacceptable is the extended time I (and I know many others) have been left without a useable website profile or proper access to Email. With something so glaring as after login only seeing "blank" pages empty of data, why has a new profile not been setup for me ?

Nobody at Sky seems to be prepared to do anything with regard this, and as I work (unpaid) for a Charity and need good reliable 24/7 access to Email both from the Web and from Outlook, it's significant to me.

I repeat, for me, SKY BB is not a low cost/free option. I only chose it as I had SKY, and NTL is not available here. At the time it seemed sensible to link to SKY for BB.........WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

NTL's service is immeasurably better, more reliable, and cheaper, and my other site's installation has been bullet proof for more than two years............maybe I'd better start digging a cable trench towards Worthing.......the nearest point of their network.............I certainly don't have a lot of confidence now that anything else will help...............

      ...off topic...

      Hi Ged,

pretty good, thanks ! Haven't really tried to stress it yet (i.e. with any big downloads) but stats have stayed pretty consistent, and haven't had any downtime yet...nearly 2 weeks now !

Still haven't been informed 'officially' by Sky that our connection is working...good job I tried the router out that night.

...back on topic...damn, sounds like a website I might have used...just bought a 3 metre SPDIF cable from studiospares for 11:00.

      Sky Broadband Max Connection!

HELLO THERE!! I've had Sky Broadband for a couple of Months now, and I have to say, its been working fine!! However, in this last week, Its starting to play up!! For some reason, it won't connect to the Internet straight away, also, whilst surfing the web, it tends to cut out!!

      My setup is via Ethernet!
      Im on the Mx Package!

Can anybody shed some light on this issue?

Your help would be much appreciated!!
