Yes, since I've had no problems at all since switching.

I'm jealous! I move onto Connect a couple of weeks ago & its doing my head in

At present Outlook wont send or receive, I can't access any https sites (a sod when you need to pay for something) & I get regular disconnects (lost count today - I even got dc'd whist I was typing this reply)

Strangely enough, I was with Tiscali for years with no problem untill they LLUed me & screwed up the connection. 1Mb seemed smoother than what I have now; there is upto a twelve second pause before pages start to load for example.
I'm hoping I'll be able to find an ISP who provides a basic (non-ADSL2, non-LLU) service when my Sky contract ends.

Unless you experience any technical problems with Sky then you will be none the wiser, which is good for those who are lucky enough. However, if you are one of the unlucky ones like myself to have had no broadband since 4th Sep and still counting with no idea of a fix date then you would think of Sky in a different light.

It is the worst customer experience i have ever had to deal with, and i thought the Bank of Scotland were bad, Sky has taken bad customer service to a level that is beyond what i thought was possible from a firm with their resources. Incompetence to the MAX...

Roll on my MAC code that I should hopefully have in the next few days.. I'm outta here !!!

      The wonder of hindsight.

Given the opportunity I would stay with my old ISP (Demon) for another 6 months to a year. Then when the beta testing is over I'd sign up to Sky.

This is what I'm actually recommending to anyone asking me my opinion.

I wish i'd found out how bad sky BB was before signing up with sky TV in the first place. After the sales advisor promised i'd have sky in 2-3 weeks, i thought it'd be a good way of saving 10 - 15 a month. Now, 8 weeks later, i still don't have a registration code, and feel more like i'm WASTING 43 a month now.

I'm a bit mixed tbh. I'm not yet connected (been waiting since September 11), so not exactly a big fan, but then again the price (10 for Max) will be worth it.

      Maybe.

Was with Pipex, paying 34 a month for 2mb so, despite Sky's best efforts to put me right off them, I'm sticking with it.
