Thank God I wasn't the only one. Same as you had no problem with Tiscali for years and then all of a sudden they decide to upgrade in July and the service went to pot, hence the change to Sky. Downside is it took 3 months to get connected what with MAC codes etc.

Was with BT Broadband which was expensive, already had sky tv & phone so thought what the hell...

Not had any real issues apart from some disconnects, although still only on Connect (512k eek), my exchange is updated with LLU, so just waiting for Sky to switch me to Max....

Reading the posts on this very useful site I am very glad that I have not moved from my ISP, IDNet, 'perfect in every way'. I am waiting for Max, probably not available in my area until the end of 2007, or even beyond, according to the vague indications on two letters I have received from SKY. As for 'connect', a connection fee and no guarantee of anything apart from a 12 month contract. So, like Brer Fox,"I lie low" and observe. But my sympathy with all those who are having problems.

Positive yes, without doubt, after my experiences with Eclipse over the past 3 years Sky is excellent for me. Combines great speed with low cost (Max) - Only downer is lack of webmail but I am confident they are working on it

      Thumbs down

Wish i had stayed with my old ISP! Five weeks with Sky broadband Connect and five weeks of internet Hell! Intermittent connection problems are driving me crazy. The amount of time wasted trying to work out what is wrong is unbelivable. My download speeds swing from fast to very slow. Slow meaning 56k modem speeds. This mainly occurs at peak times but also off peak! Even anti-virus updates can take 3 minutes. Not Impressed..
