Have Sky Promised To Call You Back?
Just to get a feel for what's really happening when you ring Sky for help and advice and either Customer Services, Technical Services, or Provisioning Staff promise to call you back.
(Unfortunately my personal experience is that they NEVER call you back and are just using it as yet another delaying money making tactic but I might be wrong???)

Same with me. I have been promised a call back on 3 occasion. twice when on the phone to the order status team and once in an email from the customer relations team.
So far I'm still waiting.

I did get a call back on the 7th as promised but if I remember right it was the following week when things started to go very wrong.Ray

After registering on day one for Sky BB and then waiting and waiting, I finally emailed them on an address from these forums. First time around I got the standard 'wait it's coming' response.
I sent another email, a little stronger, and got an a reply from a real person who promised to ring and actually did.
He took my order then and there without a BAND number and asked me to email the MAC when I got it from Pipex (he said don't ring, you'll be waiting for ever).
Emailed my Mac and got the confirmation letter two days later.
Now if the router turns up and the switchover takes place in the same excellent manner, I'll be sorted.
Well done Sky!

OK so 100 votes are now in - the results so far kind of confirm my suspicions don't they??
Only 1 in 11 Skyuser customers who are promised a call back actually receive one!!!
Only 16% of Skyuser customers have not had need to ring them which must tell you something!!!
The moral is don't wait for them to ring you back it's almost certain that they won't!!!!
Oy!!! Mr. Sky if you're reading this it's a disgrace!!!!
SHAME ON YOU!!! SHAME ON YOU!!!

I reported an issue with the line dropping & was told that tier 3 will ring you back in 2 days, they didn't & when I rang back was told that Tier 3 had looked at the problem & closed the ticket. This may well be true, however Sky handle this poorly compared to most companies who allow you to look at open issues on the Internet & show you each response & allow you to comment / keep it open.
