I use Kaspersky, which I get free as part of my Barclays Online Banking - seems pretty good - prior to that I have used both AVG and Avast without any issues.

Superb and it works on XP x64 when very few others do.
One of the best AntiVirus Packages out there, at the end of the day you get what you pay for, free antivirus apps offer limited protection and get updates weekley or daily rarther then every half an hour like Kaspersky

Avast can be set to update every 1 minute if you want to. I have mine set to update every 4 hours, which I think is sufficient.

Re: Poll: Which free anti virus software do you recommend for Sky Broadband?

Iused to swear by Eset Nod32, but as my subs was due last month, I decided to give the (free) Sky McAfee a whirl... Well, it's gone and discovered a few things that Nod has missed, which surprises me...

So as it's free for 12 months, then I'll stick with it for now...

Never had any problems with Free AVG, so can't recommend it highly enough. Used to use McAfee but it caused more trouble than it was worth!

I use ZenOK Free Antivirus at work and its great. At home too its free and does a good job.

I believe that there was a thread recently that asked this same question. Do a quick search and you should find it.

Re: Poll: Which free anti virus software do you recommend for Sky Broadband?

I had used Kaspersky Internet Security on my three main PCs for several years, but after several really serious problems with the 2011 product, e.g. BSOD on starting MS Visual Studio 2008, I did not renew the licence.

Since the beginning of the year, I have been using Microsoft Security Essentials 2 on all the XP PCs with the Comodo free firewall. MSE is exceptionally unobtrusive. No hint of any problem so far.
