Should Sky allow Customers to use their own Router?

Taken from a previous thread, and made into a Poll

SKYUSERS SHOULD DEMAND THE FREEDOM OF CHOICE OF ROUTERS!!!
I think absolutely everyone is united on this issue, that you should be able to use your own router.

However the only way we could get Sky to change this is to all leave. However most of the userbase would not leave as they are saving upto 100's of pounds per year from their previous ISP's. I alone am saving 179.88 and so am quite happy to use their not so perfect but pretty much stable routers.

I also agree that I am not the majority and not everyone's experience is trouble free. But the point still stands, 1.5 million people ain't going to leave just to get to use your own router. And the thing is, Sky know this.

Re: Should Sky allow Customers to use their own Router?

Although I have managed to keep the v1 netgear up for 45 days now, if I hadn't found this site and found out about the limitations of the router and how to work around them I would be pulling my hair out having to reset the router 4-5 times a day.

And when I had the router replaced my old Belkin one seemed to give a better performance for the 2 weeks I was waiting for the new netgear.
