      Re: SkyUser Radio

Hmmmmmm, an internet radio station run by Skyuser?

      Why?

      What's the brief/remit?

What are the advantages of this medium?

Could this not be a handful of anoraks with no actual listners?

Just because the technology enables it doesn't mean you have to do it

I suppose hobbyist radio has it's place????

      Re: SkyUser Radio

just to qualify that I'm not just a "Party Pooper".....

I think that Skyuser is an excellent and useful resource and my first port of call if I want any info about my Broadband connection with Sky. I just couldn't see where the idea of a Radio station fitted in with this and wether it had any place under the umbrella of Skyuser. However, as its own entity and completely separate to Skyuser then I suppose why not? I still reckon you'd be putting a load of effort in for very little audience (in all honesty the only audience would probably be those that are fully involved).

Thats how we were thinking of doing it I think, but still something to do with SkyUser in the name.

Personnally I love music, and this way we can share different tastes etc, and also give us the possibility of increasing members, by offering something just a little different. Don't get us wrong, we are not looking at taking the market off Radio 1, its just something as a community those who are interested in can contribute.

      Re: SkyUser Radio

If this is to be lauched seperately then why not give it a go? One thing though, i looked into setting up an online radio station back in 2005 and as soon as i found out how much it wouldve cost me to run legally i threw in the towel as i couldnt afford the cost. Back then it would have cost me 5k/year but that was then and prices may have come down a bit or gone up. You'll need to look into it though.
