      Re: Say Hello

      Hello ,
thought i would say hello after spending all weekend setting up my new skybb 1/2 an hour to set up and then another 47 1/2 hours trying to get outlook express to send/receive mail after 100 attempts i was about to sack it all and open a gmail account Then i thought about dodgy ip addresses -> checked peerguardian and hey presto blocked sky ip's .
so anyone having any trouble with outlook check your PG or protowall logs

peerguardian and protowall convert various list that are available on the net and block those ip addressess to protect your privacy .
if you use a spyware remover such as spybot or adware try comparing the results when you have PG running
you don't have to file share to be extra cautious
try it out Phoenix Labs PeerGuardian 2

Re: Help with P2P - some observations

I now seem to have outbound mail but not inbound.

I went to OE, Tools/Accounts/Properties/Servers and unclicked :

Log on using Secure Password Authentication, and

      My server requires authentication

      Right or wrong ???

Re: Help with P2P - some observations

Yes, started working but then the error message appeared at bottom right of screen.

It doesn't seem to recognise the username and password now even though it is exactly as shown on Sky letter, correct case, etc.
