It does indeed seem as though its hogging all the bandwidth and with those stats this may be causing the instability. if its not in the master socket that is most probably the cause of the issue.

I have 3 microfilters plugged in. The thing is i dont have a phone line in my bedroom so im useing an extention lead which is a few meters long. is it possible the extention lead is causing this problem?

edit im plugging into an extention upstairs(via an extention lead) and the master socket is by the frontdoor.

      How long is this extention?
Also if you have a lappy why not try plugging it in directly to the master socket! Without extensions?

it is more than likely the extension mate but we cant rule it out untill you have tried it without, is there anyway you can get directly connected to the master socket or perhaps run a lengh of cat 5 from the router at the master to your pc instead of a rj11 extension.

You could try testing the pc downstairs?

As this will elimante a part which could be causing the problem?

well i could move my pc downstairs but if that solves it id still have to run an extention lead from downstairs at the master socket to my bedroom

but that would eliminate the problem from Skys end thus meaning you have an internal problem!

once you establish the problem is the extension you can get a cat5 cable and run it without and issue, or you can buy a wireless dongle from sky for 20. but before we move onto that lets get the extension out of the equation
