Sky BB & BitTorrent

When i first started my Sky I managed to download some stuff via bit torrent.

However for the last few days every time i fire up on BT client it simply blocks out all internet usage, i can recover internet access by disconnecting from the router, closing down Utorrent and then re-connecting to the router.

I 'think' it coincided with me installing Sky Player.

Does anybody know of any issues relating to the above.

Thanks.

Re: Sky BB & BitTorrent

Use Run>msconfig to stop Kontiki running at startup and see if it makes any difference.

Re: Sky BB & BitTorrent

Utorrent is really bad at hogging bandwidth. Make sure you set limits and not allow it 'unlimited' bandwidth.

Re: Sky BB & BitTorrent

i avoid torrents altogether and stick with phazeddl.com and rapidshare web downloads using rapget modified for rapidshare.com and downloadable for free from their website...

i always find the content i am looking for via phaze and attain constant speeds above my actual sync speed, i currently sync at 7168 but get a steady 850k/s through the rapidshare downloader...

skyBB and rapidshare downloader are very good friends imho

Re: Sky BB & BitTorrent

I use a program called CFosSpeed from cFos Software GmbH. It basically lets me uplaod at around 80K and still download and surf at full speed. It does however require a few hours/days to tune itself.

Good, but 7168kbps is equal to 875Kbps.

I don't think it is possible to download at a greater speed than you sync.
