    This is a discussion on E-mule within the P2P / File sharing forums, part of the General chat category; Does anybody know how to tweak emule to get faster speeds because mine are going ridiculously slow at only 3.00KB/s ...

      Angry E-mule

      Does anybody know how to tweak emule to get faster speeds because mine are going ridiculously slow at only 3.00KB/s at the fastest i know its not my internet speed as when i have my utorrent on its going at 100KB and upwards

      so any help would be nice...

      eMule is nearly always very slow (a lot slower than bit-torrent anyway), it's just how the network works. Files with more peers will give you a higher speed so try and download them, also make sure you don't have a low-id as this will adversly affect your download speed.

      Click on the server button along the top, when that changes look to the right it will say user id, if it say low id you will need to configure the router and open up a port.

      yup got a low id will forward the ports now see if that works......................

      Once ports a forwarded that will sort the problem out, same happened to me
