Log in to the router at 192.168.0.1, Username Admin, Password Sky, Select Router Status, then the Connection Status Tab. Select Disconnect, then use the Sky Test button, which should reconnect you with a new IP address IIRC.

You don't need to go to Connection Status then hit disconnect - just the Sky Test button will do.

You were kind enough to teach me this one - but when I hit the Sky Test button the first time it came up "completed successfully" but with the same IP address. That was why I suggested disconnecting first. I have noticed before that my IP address sometimes does not change when rebooting - other times it does.

      re: Changing Sky IP address

      Oh - that's curious.

The Sky Test button has always given me a new IP without fail and I don't believe I've ever had the same IP address after a reboot - well not recently. In the early days of Sky (over a year back) I used to find Sky IPs very "sticky" but not any more. I wonder if is something to do with local exchange equipment loading so will vary from customer to customer?
