      Hey everyone,

Have been waiting to get sky for ages now but would very much like one of these codes that are going? Anyone got a spare one that could make a new married couple very happy?

      All the best,

      eclcford

Re: WANTED: Sky friends and family code PLEASE!

In all likelihood the few codes that were available have now gone.

If anyone else wishes to post his or her email address, then please feel free to do so. There are many bots that visit this site and will harvest your email addresses and fill up your in boxes with lots of friendly spam.

When someone asks for a PM, they do not mean for you to post your emails in a public site.

Remember too that these codes are only good for 12 months. After this time you can either cancel your subscription or pay the full going rate at that time.

Re: WANTED: Sky friends and family code PLEASE!

I guess this thread must be near the top of Google when searching for "free Sky codes", it is quite funny to see people registering just to try and get their hands on one of these when there are probably very few of them around. Other threads on other sites are just as un-successful.

Re: WANTED: Sky friends and family code PLEASE!

I have a code but I have sky broadband and had cancelled my sky TV a few months ago. Will I have to get a new connection under a family member's name to use the code and if so, how?

Re: WANTED: Sky friends and family code PLEASE!

You can normally only have one Sky account per household and you had Sky TV too recently to be counted as a new customer yourself.

The only way around this would be to cancel your telephone & broadband.

Your could then get someone else to sign up for a new all-inclusive account with the code.

If you take this route, hide the old Sky equipment when the Sky engineer arrives is you have paid for new STBs, etc. Otherwise he may not leave the new kit.

A disadvantage of taking this option will be when things go wrong as you will no longer be the account holder. Sky support will insist on talking with the account holder due to Data Protection.

      1) You can have multiple accounts per household as long as they are on new names.

      2) Sky engineers are not in the habbit of fleecing receivers from customers (subbies maybe) but not a Sky engineer, specially new kit thats going in plus he may ask if the old receiver is not being used it can be sent back to Sky to be recycled.

      3) Regarding Sky talking to a none account holder a note can be given (permission) for someone else to speak on their behalf.

      Regards
