Free SKY + Box when you introduce a friend

I've recently introduced my in-laws to SKY. Basically the offer was if they quote 'PRESENT' and give my name, address i get SKY + as well as they do for free. At the moment i have the basic SKY box, and am looking forward to the free upgrade. When my in-laws set up their account at the weekend, they were informed by the salesman that as long as they agreed to a minimum 12 month contract, then i could call at anytime to set up the installation of the SKY + box at my home. After calling this morning, i was informed that there is also a 30 day rule from when my in-laws have their SKY TV installed/activated, and that their account set up details clearly state that their subscription was based on the introduce a friend offer. My point is that if my in-laws have agreed to a 12 month contract, why do i now also have to wait 30 days before i can call up for SKY + to be installed at my house. It doesnt seem to make sense. Also i've now mislaid the full offer leaflet, can someone advise if there is any hidden charge that SKY will apply for me having SKY + upgraded at my house. Thanks

It is to ensure that the contract is in place and running smoothly. Although I don't think they have much to worry about, you already pay!Just making sure I suppose.

I have recently tried to introduce a friend, using the sky internet page, three stage sign up. When I get to the confirm page, it states that there is an error and the process can't be completed !!
I have already submitted my friend's email address, so that have that, and I am unlikely to get my side of the offer.
Also the telephone no. on that confirmation page is unobtainable!
Bit of a con I am thinking

i got my sky+ upgrade via the introduce a friend this summer
had to wait for friend to get installed i had recommended them online they got an email to contact sky by telephone,
after recomendation was processed i got an email to contact sky after friends instalation
i then had to wait about 3 weeks before i got a letter to telephone to get my instalation done £60 had to be paid when i booked appointment

but all is well and very happy with sky+

Hi Can someone help here. How do I introduce a friend via Sky.com/introduce a friend?
I thought once you click on introduce a friend tab you give your friends name and email
address and then sky send a offer code to that friend via email?

Can someone explain to me how It works and how I can get a friend to join via sky site?
