      BE V2 Bridge Mode Settings

Apparently I cannot use bridge with the old BeV2 in it's current state and it needs a new template/firmware update etc. I'm close to either buying a Vigor 120 or cancelling my connection if I cannot use my own router. My router (Linksys e4200) only has pppoe so I'd like to have the old modem handle the connection and my router handle dhcp etc.

      Thanks for any help.

Have you restored to factory default and updated the firmware on your BE box? This should make it usable with Sky.

Re: BE V2 Bridge Mode Settings

Thanks for getting back to me.
      I'll have a go tonight/tomorrow, I haven't reset it...

So on my router, would I set the connection type to "automatic Configuration - DHCP"?
      I have:
      Automatic Configuration - DHCP
      Static IP
      PPPoE
      PPTP
      L2TP
      Telstra Cable.

I'm not too clued up on router terminology, I know PPPoE and Telstra probably wouldn't work, and presume I need it to be DHCP, but don't know what the other two would be.

Also I think this would be not full bridge mode, so the modem AND the router would be running NAT? Should I turn that off in my router?

Thanks, I'll report back when I've reset the modem later.

I looked into this as the change affected a friend of mine it looks like the bridge template sky supplied only works if it's a mer enabled exchange.

Since sky don't support pppoe it looks like using a separate router is difficult although I did see a poppa to pptp config posted for the Speedtouch modems but I don't know anyone who's used it yet.

Sorry would post a link but on tablet and don't have it to hand
