It did not last long, clicked through to buy it at about 2 pm and got told it was sold out at the deal price, back to 38.49.

Must be all those Sky TV customers jumping ship to "the cheaper way to watch selected Sky entertainment channels"!

      Maybe it will for some.
Ive worked it out that now tv does not really make it any cheaper for us, but then its sport, sky atlantic, sky one and a few other entertainment channels in the sky package and boxsets that we need.
Now if there were deals like the above on sports, it would be a better option for us, but taking sky sports as a tv sub works out a much better deal and having sports works in your favour to reduce other items, like your broadband.

Re: NOW TV Box with 6 Month Entertainment Pass only 18.99

Well I did say "selected Sky entertainment channels"!

Sports is a different proposition though. When we had Sky, there was a tendency to stay subscribed even when there few (or even no) events that we wanted to watch. At least with NOW TV we can dip in and out as we need, and it's definitely costing us less on Sport via NOW TV than it was with Sky TV.

But, as I think you might be suggesting, everybody's mileage will vary according to their needs.

Incidentally, I haven't found that dropping Sky TV has hindered getting a discount deal on Sky Fibre Pro (although I wouldn't have been surprised if it had barred me from doing so).

Re: NOW TV Box with 6 Month Entertainment Pass only 18.99

Well there will be no need to even think about Now TV for another 12 months. Glad as the now tv sky sports a month is not a friendly price.
Just done the yearly contract renewal call for sky phone, line rental, sky+hd sports, legacy variety and hd. Once again, great discounts offered for a long loyal customer, that was mentioned by them.
I will end up paying same as last year (and that was nicely discounted), even with the June increases (in fact i should say what increases!), so well happy.
Must admit its always a pleasure talking with the sky sales team, such a friendly bunch. Got through straight away too.

Shiny sky q hub router on its way for my sky broadband unlimited too to replace the sr102
I have had the sr102 since we beta tested it, now when was that? Its lasted well.
Might use the current sr102 as an ethernet switch for now, just need three, so may not bother for now to get a new ethernet switch.
Any ideas on how I do that?

Its only for the odd testing of PCs on Ethernet, slingbox and the sky hd box, but a new slingbox coming my way soon is wifi, so two ports will be fine going forward.
Everything else, including my MS Win server, many cctv cameras, tablets/phones, win PCs/tablets, weather station kit, tv, chromecast devices and a few other devices are all wifi and will be even better with the sky q hub router. I've played and tested well with a few sky q hub routers and have been impressed with them and their range.

Mind just saw this on amazon for only 5.99, really only need 10/100 Mbps.

Re: NOW TV Box with 6 Month Entertainment Pass only 18.99

Went with the TP-LINK TL-SF1005DTP, workd a treat and so small (only 4x3x1 inch) I've stuck it to the back of the tv, and the tv/slingbox/sky+hd box all connect to it.
Only thing about the new sky q hub is I think it being so flat like a pancake, my cats are going to hunt it out on my desk and sit on it for the warmth. Found one of them having a good look earlier.
Do like the new sky master microfilter, nicely colour coded for the sky hub and phone, fits nice and compact into my LJU2 master socket.
      The spare microfilter is more compact too and has no dropped cable, like before;
