      Rootkits and Keylogger

I promote an affiliate link using online advertising to get referrals to a program I promote, now up to April I was getting on average 1 referral per day, then it stopped, and I still promote, no matter how hard I promote my affiliate link I don't get any sign ups at all. I have cloaked my affiliate link, I have tracked the link and still nothing.

Someone suggested that my referrals were being either stolen or redirected, I could have a keylogger or rootkit on my Mac. Now I use Macscan which only picks up tracking cookies which I delete nothing more severe like Spyware, keyloggers, Malware.

I have avast anti-spyware and neither program is picking up any unusual activity. I have looked at my activity monitor as that was suggested to me, but trouble is when I look at it, I cannot make head nor tail of the data being processed or whether there are any anomalies...

I have downloaded Internetcleanup for Mac but to be able to use the Spyalert you have to purchase...

Can anyone suggest anything I can do or to help me dicipher what is going on in the activity monitor.

      Thank you for your time

      Brian

      Re: Rootkits and Keylogger

Thank you I have downloaded OS X Rootkit Hunter, and ran it I got a few warnings come up and a message

One or more warnings have been found while checking the system.
Please check the log file (/tmp/rkhunter.log)

I am trying now to locate the elusive log file

Thank you for your recommendation and advice, appreciated.
